This video clip is from my family's old home movies. It was taken at the Squamish Lumberjack Festival in 1960. It shows a plains Indian drumming and dancing, but what makes it interesting is the short sequence of the Salish SweSwe Dancer. This mask and dance are part of a Salish secret society. The masks are rarely seen and the dance is virtually never photographed. There is no sound on this clip.
